What is your favorite scripture or inspirational quote? Why is it so special to you?
It changes in my life. Its what I need at that time. For awhile it was "A woman who stands behind her man, can't see where she is going". My newest one is "There is a secret in our society, it isn't that childbirth is painful, its that women are strong".....this is part of my inspiration to have a natural childbirth.

Question #9
What is your favorite holiday? How do you celebrate it?
Its not really a holiday but my favorite event during the year SHOULD be a holiday LOL....Super Bowl Sunday. Even if my Broncos are not in it, its still a day I count down to and can't wait for!!!!
When I lived in the states either me or one of my friends would throw a big party, tons of friends, great food, many times a chili contest. We would have some light gambling and bets going on. But it is just a great day for friends.
When I was a kid my parent's friends always had parties that kids were allowed at so it was a huge party even then. I remember the year my parents had the party-my dad had ordered several cases of Alaskan King Crab Legs (MY FAVORITE) and we just ate and ate and ate. It was one of my favorite memories of growing up!
While overseas my Super Bowl Sunday's are lacking :( Last year we watched it online-not quit the same. Not sure whats going on this year yet.

Question #8
Tell about your family reunions.
Growing up my dad's side of the family had a family reunion on the second Sunday of August. They still do. I haven't been to one since my dad died, I hope to change that someday so my husband can meet that side of my family. We would all get together at the park (because we don't fit into anyone's homes there are so many of us), and have a BBQ and just hang out. We usually had a pool at the park so the kids would usually end up there if the weather was nice.
My mom's side of the family I remember one particular reunion...our family comes from Germany and when I was younger (maybe 8ish) we had some of the Germany family in South Dakota. I really wish I remembered more of it. We also get together in a park and just do a BBQ and hang out.
I have to be honest I really suck at remembering who everyone is..I can't even name all my cousins, and I was in my 20's before I could list all my uncles (still working on aunts). Because I can't remember everyone I'm uncomfortable with the reunions because I feel bad for not knowing.

Question #7
What advice would you give to a young woman just beginning her adult life and her family?
Listen to your intuition-EVERY TIME.
Retirement is not an old person goal-make it one now.
Spend less then you make, don't buy things you can't afford.
Travel to those places you think you never could.
Help others.
Just because their family doesn't mean they are good for you.
Make you your first priority, your no good to anyone else if you don't.

Question #6
What do you think is the best way to bring about world peace?
I think we can be alot better, but not sure if world peace will ever really happen, without some conflict we may not challenge ourselves enough. If people just started thinking more globally and realizing that what they do can and does affect others and to act accordingly would be a great first step.

Question #5
What is the meanest thing anyone has ever said to you? Who said it (if you can share that)? How did that affect you?
When I was having my last miscarriage in Sept I had many anonymous posters on my blog accuse me of making it up and being an online troll, and several people attack me on my favorite online site JM. I was destroyed by this. Unfortunately this was the SECOND time I was accused of lying about a miscarriage. It still affects me to this day, I know my way of coping with things is different then most people but it works for me. The first time I just told people it was over and I got accused of lying because I didn't tell more details of what happened. This time I told the whole story with tons of details--same result of being accussed. I just couldn't win. I went so far as to take pictures of my medical documents to Prove my story. I really can't think of a worse thing to have to deal with when going through a misscarriage then having people call you a liar and asking for proof. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. How has it affected me...well I don't like to post my details as much online about whats going on with my pregnancy, and I try not to be so excited about it online. I keep most my posts and updates to my personal blog instead and I block unknown people from posting on my blog.

Question #4
Who taught you how to drive a car? What do you remember about those lessons?
My father taught me how to drive a 5 speed! I remember the very first time he took me out. We went to the out skirt of town and he pulled over on this old dirt road. I got in the driver side and actually got it the first couple times! But then I was thinking to much and got stuck over and over again stalling out the car. Once I was able to actually drive he pointed at a deer in the field next to us, I of course looked over and the car started to follow my stare LOL. My dad grabbed the wheel and kept us on the road---I have done great about not doing that again! I still to this day remember the feeling of almost crashing the car. It was frightening. After I became city worthy of driving my mom would start taking me out also. Both were pretty calm with me...thank goodness!
I'm so glad I learned to drive a clutch first. I will definitely be making sure my kids some day know how to drive one....right after I teach my husband! LOL
Now it's your turn. Just make sure that if you answer this, you come back and leave a link so that I can read what you wrote too! Make sure you are sharing a link to this journal with anyone you know how might like to join in, and continue to check back daily for new questions.
